The northkit women's waterproof jacket is lightweight packable and ideal for hiking and everyday wear. Thanks to its 10000 mm water column and breathability it offers reliable protection against rain and wind. The universal northkit women's jacket is a real all-rounder among emergency jackets. Packable into its own pocket it is ready to protect your comfort during any sporting activity. At dusk in cold wind in sudden snowfall or in a cloudburst the jacket will always do its duty. Thanks to the 2-layer ripstop-nylon membrane with a 10000 mm water column the jacket offers absolute wind resistance and waterproofness. All seams are taped and the material has very good breathability. Multisport packable waterproof blowproof all year round adjustable and shaped hood allows for good visibility and can be hidden in the collar. The openings in the armpits and the openings in the lumbar area expand the ventilation options. The jacket can also be partially unzipped and connected at the chest with a belt to reduce unpleasant fluttering. Elastic cuffs with thumb fixation prevent the sleeves from rolling up and together with the adjustable belt prevent unwanted wind penetration. Cyclists will appreciate not only trouble-free access to the jersey pockets through the ventilation holes on the back but also safe visibility thanks to 360° reflective elements. Having a northkit emergency jacket with you means being prepared for all types of weather. With its practicality this all-season universal with a weight of 230 g (l) will appeal to cyclists runners and tourists as well as ski mountaineers or cross-country skiers. Simple! unpack before use!key features:durable water repellencydwr (durable water repellent) is a treatment applied to fabrics that prevents water from soaking in and causes water to bead up and run off. The treatment is made up of fluoropolymers. These compounds create surface tension that causes water droplets to bead up and slide off the fabric. Dwr is used on outerwear such as jackets and pants to keep the wearer dry even in wet weather. For outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers this feature is invaluable as it provides additional protection from the elements. Dwr is also environmentally friendly as it reduces the need for excessive and repeated washing which has a positive effect on the lifespan of the garment.seamless tapingseamless taping is a process in which tiny holes in all seams are sealed to prevent water from seeping through. It is used on waterproof and breathable garments to keep the wearer dry in wet weather. Taping all seams is essential for outdoor gear to provide maximum protection from the elements especially rainwear. The technique is exceptional in that it increases the durability and longevity of the garment. It prevents the seam from unraveling or weakening due to prolonged exposure to moisture. Ripstopripstop is a fabric with a grid pattern where thicker fibers are woven through thinner ones preventing tearing and ripping. When a puncture occurs the fibers surrounding the hole bond together minimizing damage. It is used in outdoor gear such as tents backpacks and jackets to increase durability and tear resistance. Ripstop fabrics are generally lighter than traditional woven fabrics. This makes them ideal for outdoor activities where weight is a concern.
